'Its Nice to be Important.... But nicer to be nice!'

I didn’t know exactly where I was going when I started this painting. Sometimes I sit down with a clear plan in mind, and other times… I just go with a feeling.

 

With this one, all I knew was that I wanted it to feel colourful, kind, and just… nice. That word kept coming back to me: nice. It might sound simple, but I wanted something that would make people smile the moment they saw it. Something someone might spot hanging on a wall and just say,

“That’s a nice painting.”

So I ran with it.

 

The end result is a big, bold acrylic piece called Nice! – a burst of colour with soft florals, detailed butterflies, and a loud, playful splash of pink graffiti across the front that literally says:

Nice!

And layered over it is one of my favourite quotes:

“It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.”

I’ve always loved that saying. It’s true in life, in art, in the way we treat people. Titles, success, followers… none of it means much if you’re not a decent human being. And I think there’s something powerful in putting that kind of energy into your space – especially with art.

So this piece is for the people who value kindness. The ones who like colour, a bit of fun, and a reminder that being a good person never goes out of style.
